This new WordPress-based site gives us a lot more flexibility than the old system, but adding all the content is a labour of love, so if something’s missing, bear with us, it’ll all be back soon, as well as latest news and the obligatory drunken, abusive rantings from Scott.

CogRock is now officially FULL.

There’s still some work to do tidying the tracks and adding live parts when appropriate, but the material is all written now. There may even be tracks that are dropped in favour of a more consistent album, depending on how everything sits together when the spit and polish have been applied.

Once it’s complete and we release properly, work will progress onto the next commercial album, tentatively named Eschatology, which (as with Music To Crash Cars To and End of an Error) will feature material from the previous non-commercial albums (in this case, Forwards, ToRights and CogRock) as well as entirely new work.

Somewhere in between all of this, we shall be announcing a new gigging roster and punting for dates around the UK slightly later in the year.

The lyrics page for Forwards has been updated, with track previews and lyrics for all tracks.

Forwards was a non-commercial breakbeat / triphop / industrial release from 2006-2007. It has been called nice things by people who like God Lives Underwater, Filter, Pitch Shifter, Jesus Jones and don’t think that there’s a problem with loving both Massive Attack and Marilyn Manson at the same time, but universally acknowledge PWEI as living gods.

It is dark and breakbeat laden. It is free.

Released last month and still available for download if you’re quick about it, This Is Radio Silence (created by Ben of Earth Loop Recall and SonVer) has an EP out called Now There’s Nothing.

Currently putting the finishing touches on a remix of “The Bible, the Bottle, the Bomb” from the frankly terrifying industrial force that is Caustic (no relation to my track of the same name).

Not certain how this remix will be released yet, but if we’re doing a free download, you will hear it here, first, naturally.

Just updated all of the tracks in the most recent work-in-progress album CogRock with a full lyrics database for the songs so far (in case “work-in-progress” isn’t obvious: it’s not finished yet, but we release the music as we write it)

Tonight’s featured fucked up retro-track of the evening is:

Re-inject, from 2002’s Riding the Biorhythms.

I think it’s safe to say that while my production skills weren’t paramount back then, I was quite horrendously fucked up at the time.

That’s what you get for moving to London and fucking hating the shit out of yourself and everyone around you.
